55-Year-Old Camarillo Woman Fatally Injured in Collision near Ponderosa Drive
CAMARILLO, CA (August 20, 2018) – A woman was killed Monday evening after a car crash on Carmen Drive. The Camarillo Police Department identified the victim as 55-year-old Victoria Newman of Camarillo.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 8:50 PM near Ponderosa Drive. Newman was a passenger of a Mini Cooper that collided with a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction.
Firefighters responded to the crash and pronounced Newman dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the collision, and it is unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal accident.
Officials continue to investigate at this time and no additional information has been released to the public at this time.
