Victor Torres Roque Detained After DUI Crash Leaves 3 Seriously Injured in Taft
Taft, CA (October 06, 2020) – On Sunday, Victor Torres Roque was arrested for a DUI crash that injured 3 people on 6th Street and Kern Street in Taft.
Moreover, authorities say the crash happened at around 10 p.m. when Roque drove at high speed while under the influence.
Furthermore, police say he did not stop on multiple red lights and then ultimately crash into a Dodge Charger, injuring the female driver.
Additionally, Taft Police says, Roque pushed the Charger at least 100 feet off the streets. His vehicle spun around and stopped on the curbside.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old driver of the Dodge was unable to get out of her vehicle, until rescuers set her free.
Coincidentally, there was a 15-year-old boy inside Roque’s car who had minor injuries. Paramedics took the injured parties to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Subsequently, after medical treatment authorities took Roques to the Sheriff’s office for the formal booking on his charges.
Ultimately, he is facing charges for felony drunk driving, felony child endangerment, misdemeanor counts of reckless driving causing injury, driving without a license, and driving with no proof of insurance, an infraction.
