Visalia Man Victor Soto Jr Injured in Avenal Cutoff Road Fatal Crash [Kings County, CA]

Kings County, CA (May 27, 2024) – 51-year-old Victor Soto Jr of Visalia was injured following an Avenal Cutoff Road fatal crash early Sunday morning.

The fatal collision happened at approximately 2:15 a.m. south of 25th Avenue.

Investigators said a 23-year-old Fresno man driving a northbound 2024 blue Chevrolet Malibu on Avenal Cutoff Road crossed over the center divide line and collided head-on with a southbound white 2016 Ford F-150 driven by Soto Jr.

Soto Jr sustained major injuries and was airlifted by Skylife medical helicopter service to an area hospital.

Responding officers said the Malibu driver incurred died at the crash scene.

Moreover, a 20-year-old passenger in the Malibu, Taeshon Ogan of Fresno, incurred major injuries and was also airlifted by a second Skylife helicopter to a different area hospital.

It is not yet determined if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
