Deadly Corning Rollover Car Crash on Newville Road
CORNING, CA (August 19, 2019) – Two people died while a month-old child suffered severe injuries in a rollover crash on Newville Road on August 14.
The incident involving a westbound 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup on Newville Road, north of Stony Creek, happened at 6:35 p.m. The vehicle went off the road, overturned several times before landing in a dirt and grass field south of Newville Road.
35-year-old Victor Lowery and 29-year-old Katelyn McCabe died in the incident.
In addition, the infant sustained injuries after the crash threw the victim out of the vehicle with Katelyn McCabe. Responders airlifted the juvenile to UC Davis Medical Center.
The Red Bluff CHP office is currently handling the investigation. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact CHP at 527-2034.
