Victor Gonzalez Dead in Bakersfield Car Accident on Panama Lane
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 6, 2020) – Last month, 52-year-old Victor Gonzalez died in a DUI crash on Panama Lane.
The Bakersfield Police Department officers responded to the 3300 block of East Panama Lane at about 3:46 a.m. upon receiving reports of an injury traffic crash.
After the initial investigation, the authorities found out that the vehicles involved, a Toyota and an Audi, both traveled on East Panama Lane. Then, the Audi hit the Toyota from behind, resulting in the Toyota overturning.
As a result of the crash, the Toyota driver, Victor Gonzales, suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the police also determined that the 25-year-old Audi driver, Fashawn Pearson of Bakersfield, was driving under the influence. Thus, the officers arrested Pearson for a DUI resulting in death and gross vehicular manslaughter.
