Victor Fields Dies in Interstate 805 Bicycle Crash [San Diego County, CA]

San Diego County, CA (June 8, 2024) – 66-year-old Victor Fields was killed in an Interstate 805 bicycle crash Wednesday night.

It was about 7:40 p.m. when the fatal accident happened on southbound freeway and Palm Avenue off-ramp in Chula Vista.

Troopers said Fields was riding a bicycle on the shoulder exiting the Palm Avenue off-ramp when a Toyota sedan turned right and slammed into him.

Responding officers declared Victor Fields deceased at the scene.

Officers are investigating the fatal collision.
