57-Year-Old Man in Wheelchair Fatally Injured in Crash on Bellflower Boulevard
LONG BEACH, CA (June 10, 2018) – A man in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a vehicle on East 7th Street, late Sunday night. He was later identified as 57-year-old Victor Cardenas of Long Beach.
The fatal collision occurred just before midnight at the intersection of East 7th Street and Bellflower Boulevard. According to Long Beach Police, the driver was headed west on 7th Street when they struck the Cardenas, who was walking outside of a marked crosswalk.
He was traveling northbound toward the US Veteran’s Administration Medical Center. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No further details about the incident were immediately shared with the public.
