Injuries Reported after Car Collision near Elm Avenue in Auburn
AUBURN, CA (April 2, 2020) – Tuesday afternoon, multiple unidentified victims were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 49.
The California Highway Patrol received reports of the accident around 2:00 p.m., on the highway. Emergency personnel arrived near Elm Avenue, shortly after.
Officers say a Hyundai Veloster and a Subaru Forester collided. However, the events leading up are currently unclear.
In addition, the Auburn Police Department revealed that the accident injured an unknown number of people.
The surrounding area on Highway 49 between Auburn Avenue and Auburn Ravine Road was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
At this time, the two-vehicle collision investigation remains ongoing. Once available, more details will be given.
