Vicente Gonzalez of Palmdale Injured in Sierra Highway Fatal Collision [Acton, CA]

Acton, CA (March 31, 2022) – On Wednesday, 38-year-old Vicente Gonzalez of Palmdale sustained injuries in a wrong-way crash on Sierra Highway that killed 24-year-old Christian Flores also of Palmdale.

Officers received the crash report at about 4:50 a.m. south of San Gabriel Avenue.

Officer said Flores was driving a northbound Honda on Sierra Highway. Suddenly, his vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and crashed head-on with a Nissan driven by Gonzalez.

The paramedics rushed Gonzalez to a hospital with major injuries. However, the authorities declared Flores dead at the crash scene.

“The involvement of alcohol and/or drugs is still under investigation in this crash,” the CHP says.
