3 Hurt in Merced Auto Accident on State Route 33 near Husman Road

 
MERCED, CA (November 30, 2021) – Sunday afternoon, Veronica Hurtado and two others sustained injuries in a mail truck crash on State Route 33.
 
According to authorities, the incident happened at around 1:50 p.m. Moreover, it occurred on State Route 33 and Husman Road.
 
Reports revealed that a southbound GMC failed to yield the right of way to a northbound Grumman U.S. Postal Service mail truck. Thus, it struck the vehicle while attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound Husman Road. Afterward, the force of the crash pushed the mail truck airborne until landed on its side.
 
Moreover, responders transported the Mail truck driver, 23-year-old Veronica Hurtado of Modesto to Memorial Medical Center with major injuries. Then, paramedics also transported a passenger of the GMC, 72-year-old Gohar Azadkhanian of San Francisco to Memorial Medical Center with moderate injuries.
 
Furthermore, the GMC driver, 36-year-old Narbeh Nathan sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
