Velda Wormely Struck, Killed in Merced County Pedestrian Accident on Childs Avenue
MERCED COUNTY, CA (July 29, 2021) – Wednesday morning, a woman died in a pedestrian crash on Childs Avenue and N Street.
According to Merced police, the incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Childs Avenue and N Street.
Reports revealed that a car struck a woman who was lying in the road for still unknown reasons.
Afterward, responders transported the 65-year-old woman to a hospital. However, she later died at the hospital. Authorities later revealed her identity as Velda Wormely.
Meanwhile, the driver that hit the victim in the crash remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
