5-Vehicle Crash on State Route 161 Results in Injuries [Milton, WA]

Milton, WA (May 1, 2023) – On Saturday, injuries have been reported following a 5-vehicle crash on State Route 161, north of 28th Street.

Investigating officers said a northbound car was driven by a 23-year-old man in the southbound lanes one and two of the freeway.

At the same time, a second vehicle driven by a 35-year-old man was southbound in lane one of two, while a third, fourth, and fifth car were parked in a parking lot.

The first car struck the second car and drove off the road and struck a fence. The first car continued driving and struck the third and fourth cars and also, a building. That is when a fifth car was covered by debris from the building.

Moreover, the first car rested upside down inside the building and the second vehicle rested in a ditch. 

Reports said the third, fourth, and fifth cars were stopped in the parking lot.

The paramedics the man driving the first car to Harborview Medical Center will be charged with reckless driving. 

Paramedics treated the man driving the second car at the scene.
