2 People Hurt in Fontana Auto Accident on Palmetto and Baseline Avenue
FONTANA, CA (February 28, 2024) – Saturday night, a crippling vehicle crash on Palmetto and Baseline Avenue injured two people.
Reports said that the incident happened at around 11:14 p.m. on Palmetto and Baseline Avenue.
According to the Fontana Police Department, the incident involved a vehicle that erupted into flames after colliding with an electrical pole.
Moreover, responders and several helpful citizens managed to extricate two occupants of the vehicle through a window just before the vehicle exploded into flames. Then, paramedics transported the driver and the passenger to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with severe injuries.
Furthermore, the crash closed both directions of Baseline Avenue from Palmetto to Mango Avenue.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Fontana Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
