Injuries Reported Deadly Highland Avenue 2-Vehicle Accident
San Martin, CA (September 1, 2023) On Thursday morning, a 48-year-old male driver from San Jose was killed in a vehicle crash on Monterey Highway.
According to the CHP, the deadly 2-vehicle accident happened around 1:12 a.m. at the intersection of Monterey Highway at Highland Avenue.
Reports say that an eastbound 2022 Ford F150, with 3 occupants, failed to stop at a red light and collided with a westbound 2023 KIA Forte with a single occupant.
Officials say that the KIA crashed into the left front of the Ford 150, causing both vehicles to stop at the intersection.
Medics transported the KIA driver to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where the 48-year-old driver succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the 59-year-old male driver of the Ford was taken to a hospital with serious injuries to the head. While the other 2 passengers on the Ford complained of pain but were not transported.
