3 People Hospitalized in Solo-Vehicle Accident on U.S. 101
Mason County, WA (June 23, 2023) On Thursday morning, 3 people were sent ot the hospital after a vehicle crash on Highway 101.
According to a Washington State Patrol (WSP), that the solo-vehicle accident happened around 1 a.m. on on U.S. 101 near West Shelton Matlock Road.
Reports say that a car with 3 occupants crashed into an embankment, overturned and ended up on its roof 50 feet below the highway.
Officials say that 2 adults, a 50-year-old male and a 43-year-old female, and a 5 year old girl were all from Elma.
Medics transported both adults to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia with injuries. While the minor did not suffer injuries, she was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
Authorities say that there are pending charges for the 50-year-old driver, third-degree driving on a suspended license and second-degree negligent driving.
WSP is investigating the solo-vehicle accident.
