Watsonville, CA (March 23, 2024) On Friday afternoon, a 57-year-old male cyclist died after a tragic vehicle collision on Main Street.
According to police, the fatal car-bicycle crash happened around 1 p.m. on Main Street near Rodriguez Street.
Reports say that a 31-year-old man driving a Toyota sedan veered off the roadway and struck a man on his bicycle.
Medics rushed the 57-year-old man to the hospital in critical condition, unfortunately, the man ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital
Authorities say that the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.
