Vanessa Garcia Dies after Hit-And-Run Crash on Bopp Road in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (July 22, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, 30-year-old Vanessa Garcia died in a hit-and-run crash on Bopp Road and Irene Boulevard.

The fatal hit-and-run crash happened at around 4:30 a.m. on July 21.

San Xavier patrol said they received a call reporting an individual lying in the roadway. 

They then found the woman in the roadway with obvious signs of trauma from being hit by a vehicle. 

The victim died at the crash scene, but the driver fled.

Investigators said they found a person of interest.

No other information is immediately available.
