Salinas Women Esther Espinoza and Vanessa Carrango Die after Car Plunges Into Moss Landing Harbor
MOSS LANDING, CA (April 11, 2021) – Saturday, two Salinas women died in an accident on Dolan Road and Highway 1.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Department revealed that their units came to the scene at about 2:30 p.m.
Moreover, the incident took place near the intersection of Dolan Road and Highway 1.
At this time, the identities of the deceased were revealed as Vanessa Carrango, 35, and Monique Espinoza, 28.
Later reports say that CHP recovered their bodies from a four-door 2010 Acura. Recovery teams found the vehicle submerged upside down in the Moss Landing harbor.
Apparently, Carrango missed a stop sign at the intersection and drove the car through a gate, flipping over and plunging in the harbor.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol spearheads the ongoing investigation. Once additional details become available, the public will be informed.
