Van Driver Hurt in Loop 410 Pursuit Crash [San Antonio, TX]

San Antonio, TX (September 27, 2023) On Tuesday morning, a van driver was hospitalized after getting hit by a vehicle in the Loop 410 pursuit crash.

According to New Braunfels police, the 2-vehicle collision happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 4100 block of Northeast Loop 410 southbound, near Interstate 35 and Space Center Drive.

NBPD says that they attempted to stop a driver in a suspicious vehicle spray-painted white that was supposed to be red in an area near the Faust Street bridge.

However, upon noticing the officials, the suspect driver sped off, and officials gave chase. Despite spike strips that had been deployed, the driver kept going toward San Antonio, where the vehicle lost a tire and collided with a utility van.

Officials say that the suspect driver attempted to flee, but was apprehended by officers. Officials say that a female passenger in the suspect’s vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the van’s driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries, medics rushed the driver to a hospital.
