Indio Teens Jade Torres and Valerie Castellanos Dead in Accident on Dillon Road
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (June 21, 2021) – Sunday, Valerie Castellanos and Jade Torres, both 17, died in a DUI crash on Dillon Road.
According to the CHP, the fatal Indio crash transpired at 5:17 a.m.
Moreover, it took place at the intersection of Dillon and Berdoo Canyon roads.
Apparently, a 2012 Nissan Altima drove eastbound down Dillon Road at 90 MPH.
Then, the intoxicated teenage driver veered off the road and into a tree.
Subsequently, one passenger was ejected.
Meanwhile, the other passenger sustained chest trauma, both injuries proving fatal.
Moreover, reports revealed that responders extricated the DUI driver trapped inside the vehicle.
Riverside County Fire Department transported the victim to Desert Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
Consequently, the driver, also 17, may be under arrest following treatment from her crash injuries.
Furthermore, officials confirmed the two passengers in the car died in the Dillon Road accident.
Shortly after, the Riverside County coroner identified the teenagers as Valerie Castellanos and Jade Torres.
Indeed, both victims resided in Indio before their deaths.
Ultimately, the events leading to the DUI crash remain under investigation.
