Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Accident at NE 72nd Avenue and NE 159th Street Intersection
CLARK COUNTY, WA (May 2, 2018) – A man lost his life in a motorcycle collision, on Wednesday evening. He was later identified as 20-year-old Vadim Gensitskiy of Battle Ground.
According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred around 7:10 PM at the intersection of NE 72nd Avenue and NE 159th Street. Gensitskiy was riding a 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound with speed excessing the posted 50 mph limit, when it collided with an eastbound 2013 Toyota Tundra.
The motorcycle caught fire as a result of the collision. Firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the flames.
Gensitskiy sustained life-threatening injuries and died at the scene of the accident. The truck driver, 62-year-old James Spencer, was rushed to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. There is no update on his current medical condition.
Authorities continue to investigate the fatal accident, but have not released any further information. No arrest was made and no charges have been filed against Spencer at this time.
