Man Killed in DUI Motorcycle Crash in Bonsall
BONSALL, CA (January 1, 2019) – Early Tuesday morning, a motorcyclist was killed in a DUI collision on Highway 76. The identity of the man has not yet been released to the public.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 3:54 AM near Via Monserate.
As per reports, a Lexus IS 300 driven by 25-year-old Adam Barooshian, who is a US Marine from Camp Pendleton, was traveling the wrong way on the highway. Barooshian was driving east on westbound lanes when he struck a Suzuki motorcycle who was traveling the correct direction in a head-on collision.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the scene.
Officers stated that Booshian suffered injuries and was transferred to Palomar Medical Center for treatment and evaluation. Authorities apprehended Booshian. He was arrested on suspicion of murder and DUI resulting in bodily injury.
No further details have been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues.
