Lubbock, TX (December 8, 2023) On Thursday morning, the Lubbock Police Department is investigating the University Avenue pedestrian accident that left a person seriously hurt.

According to Lubbock Police Department (LPD), the auto-pedestrian crash happened around 6:02 a.m. in the 8600 block of University Avenue.

Reports say that vehicle struck a pedestrian causing serious injuries to the pedestrian.

Medics rushed the injured pedestrian to University Medical Center.

Officials say that the pedestrian accident caused closure to University Avenue’s southbound traffic from 82nd street to 90th street.
