Driver Killed in Houston Vehicle Crash
Houston, TX (July 30, 2024) – An Uber driver and a family of five were injured in an Atascocita Road fatal collision early Tuesday morning.
It was about 1 a.m. when the fatal crash happened on Wilson Road, northeast of Harris County.
Troopers said an unidentified driver ran a red light and struck the Uber driver and the family he was faring.
Emergency responders transported the Uber driver and the family to a hospital.
Officers said the speeding driver died at the crash scene.
Moreover, troopers believe that the driver was impaired, though, a report from the medical examiner’s office will have to confirm it.
Traffic officers closed the roadways for several hours and to re-open them by 5 a.m.
