1 Killed in Long Beach DUI Accident on Pacific Avenue near 12th Street
LONG BEACH, CA (November 25, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, authorities arrested Tyrone Tate after a deadly DUI crash on Pacific Avenue.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident happened at around 5:50 p.m. Moreover, the incident happened on Pacific Avenue near 12th Street.
Reports revealed that a 2016 Nissan Sentra struck a 62-year-old woman. The crash happened as the pedestrian attempted to cross Pacific Avenue outside a marked crosswalk.
Moreover, responders transported the victim to a hospital where she later died.
Furthermore, authorities arrested 68-year-old Tyrone Tate on suspicion of driving under the influence. He’s also charged with carrying a concealed firearm. Meanwhile, officials confirmed that the bail was set at $100,000.
