Tyrece Rayshwn Alires Dies in Crash on Palmdale
Palmdale, CA (June 11, 2020) – On Tuesday, Tyrece Rayshawn Alires, 21 years old, died in a crash at the intersection of 35th Street East and Avenue S.
The incident happened at around 11:20 p.m. on June 9.
A witness said a Chevrolet Malibu (suspect’s vehicle) was moving southbound on 35th Street East and did not stop on a red traffic light at Avenue S.
Meanwhile, a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was moving westbound on Avenue S on a green light. Then, the suspect’s car collided with the motorcycle in the intersection, according to the news.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu showed signs and symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. Also, his blood alcohol content was over the legal limit, the sheriff’s news release stated.
Police arrested him for DUI resulting in bodily injury.
Moreover, the incident is still under investigation.
