Bicyclists Dies Two Weeks after Car Accident on Cheyenne Meadows Road onto Southbound Highway 115
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (January 17, 2018) – Tymen Schreuder was pronounced dead after succumbing to his injuries two weeks after an accident that took place on the intersection of Cheyenne Meadows Road and the Southbound 115 Highway.
On Wednesday, January 17th around 3:30 PM, 89-year-old Ernest Eldridge was turning left from westbound Cheyenne Meadows Road onto the southbound Highway 115, when he hit the cyclist. Schreuder was crossing the south Colorado Springs intersection legally on the green light.
He was taken to a hospital with critical injuries, and passed on two weeks later on Tuesday, January 30th, according to officials.
Alcohol, speed, and drugs are not believed to be factors in this fatal accident. Eldridge might face charges.
