Two Suffered Fatal Injuries after Head-On Crash on Waterloo Road
STOCKTON, CA (October 9, 2019) – A driver and her passenger died following a traffic crash on Waterloo Road on Tuesday, October 8.
At around 8:30 a.m 48-year-old woman drove a sedan east on Waterloo Road near Filbert Street. Then she moved into the westbound lanes and crashed with the truck, California Highway Patrol’s Stockton office stated.
The driver of the car died at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle — described as a woman between 30 and 35 years old — also died. Paramedics rushed the third passenger to an area hospital with major injuries, CHP said.
The pickup driver sustained minor to moderate injuries and was also hospitalized.
It’s not yet determined if the driver of the sedan veered into oncoming traffic, according to CHP.
Officials closed Waterloo Road while authorities investigated the crash. The roadway has since reopened.
