Stacielynn Sandrini Facing DUI Charges after Pedestrian Collision on Ninth Street
CARPINTERIA, CA (June 17, 2018) – On Sunday afternoon, two people were hospitalized following a pedestrian accident on Linden Avenue.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the scene around 3:30 PM, at the intersection of Linden Avenue and Ninth Street. Two women, a 91-year-old and a 50-year-old, both residents of Carpinteria, were found seriously injured in the roadway.
AMR paramedics and Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District personnel treated the victims at the scene before sending them to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with injuries ranging from moderate to major. The identities of the women and updates on their condition were not immediately available.
Authorities claimed that the victims were struck by a vehicle driven by 50-year-old Stacielynn Sandrini of Bakersfield. A preliminary investigation suggested that Sandrini was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. She was arrested for felony driving under the influence of alcohol causing injuries and was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail, with bail set at $100,000.
