SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX (July 18, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a startling two-vehicle crash on Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway injured two people.

The incident happened on the Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway.

According to Sgt Maria Hernandez with DPS, a Mercedes SUV rear-ended a Ford Pinto for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders transported both drivers to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the DPS continued to investigate the crash.
