SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA (April 23, 2023) – Saturday night, a devastating two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 northbound injured 1 person.

The incident involving two vehicles happened just after 8:00 p.m. Moreover, it happened on Highway 101 Northbound/El Capitan Ranch Road.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the male driver of a pick-up truck got out of his vehicle without injury.

Moreover, the female driver of a Subaru was extensively extricated and sustained minor injuries.

Then, responders took both patients to Santa Ynez Hospital for evaluation via ground ambulance.

HWY 101 Northbound 1 lane has reopened. SBC Fire advised travelers to drive safely through the area.
