Head-On Crash Between 2 Trucks on Highway 79 South of Winchester Snarls Traffic
Winchester, CA (August 26, 2020) – A two-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 79 led to road closure on Tuesday morning.
The crash happened on August 25 on the south of Winchester near Garbini Road.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene and found two trucks that crashed head-on.
According to the report, a Nissan truck and a Ford F-150 collided head-on and rolled over on the road.
As a result, responding officials requested an ambulance to the scene however, report of injuries is still unclear.
CHP reported that construction nails were scattered on both sides of the roadway before the crash took place.
Due to the impact of the collision, authorities closed the southbound lanes and CHP diverted the traffic through the shoulder.
No further information is immediately available.
