Redding Power Outage causes Car Accident
REDDING, CA (February 14, 2019) – Thursday night, two vehicles were involved in a car crash on Highway 273.
As per reports, the accident occurred about 11:00 PM on Highway 273 near South Bonnyview Avenue.
Officials stated that an out of order traffic signal was a contributing factor to the collision. According to reports, the traffic signal was out due to a power outage caused by the winter weather.
Two vehicles did not stop at the stoplight and crashed at the intersection.
Corporal Llamas with the Redding Police Department said two people were taken to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. At this time, there are no updates on their medical condition.
No more details regarding the accident have been released.
