Hit-and-Run Crash on East Fifth Avenue Injures Two
Spokane, WA (November 12, 2021) – On Thursday, two people suffered injuries in a stolen vehicle crash on East Fifth Avenue.
The incident took place at about 3 p.m. in the 2100 block area.
A woman briefly left her vehicle unlocked and running as she delivered groceries at a residence.
However, when she got back to her vehicle, the male suspect inside her car was beginning to drive away.

Moreover, about 15 minutes later, the suspect was involved in a car collision on North Cannon Street in the same vehicle he stole.

When driving, better to scan the road 1/2 mile to a full mile ahead in order to look out or recognize potential hazards in time. Our bodies weren’t designed to travel at 50mph. We were designed for speeds of less than 10mph. Thus, you need to learn to consciously break that natural instinct and focus farther ahead.
Injuries in Crash
Wahington’s road accident rate continues to increase, rather than decrease, despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models.
The increasing crash rate reflects that auto accidents are a major public health threat. They are a leading cause of death for individuals ages 5-64.
As a matter of fact, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), two out of three motorists will be involved in an injury accident during their life.
That is why knowing what to do if you get involved in a motor vehicle accident plays a big part in one’s life.
