PHOENIX, AZ (December 30, 2019) – Two drivers suffered serious injuries in a red light accident on 43rd Avenue on early Monday morning.
 
According to reports, the incident happened near Buckeye Road just at approximately 3:00 AM.
 
Phoenix police said that a speeding sedan failed to stop at the red light and collided with another vehicle. One of the vehicles crashed into a power pole and the other came to a rest on its side away from the intersection.
 
The paramedics sent both drivers to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
The cause is under investigation.
