Man and Woman Fatally Injured in Car Crash near Woollomes Avenue
DELANO, CA (October 9, 2018) – Two people were killed Tuesday evening following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 99. The identities of the victims are being withheld, pending notification of next of kin
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place near Woollomes Avenue. For unknown reasons, a white Ford Explorer veered across lanes on southbound Highway 99 and slammed into a tree.
The female driver and her male passenger both suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led UP to the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. No further details have been provided to the public at this time.
