Two Hurt in Modesto Pedestrian Accident on 11th Street and K Street
MODESTO, CA (October 9, 2019) – Two senior citizens sustained injuries following a pedestrian crash on 11th Street on Monday, October 7.
According to Modesto police, the accident happened around 1 p.m. at the intersection of 11th and K streets. A vehicle traveling at about 30 mph struck a man and woman, both at about 70 years old.
It appears that the pedestrians were in the crosswalk, Lt. T.J. Moffett stated.
No determination of fault had yet been made about an hour after the crash.
Both people were conscious and alert while they received treatments at the scene. The driver was not hurt.
Emergency personnel put the victims on backboards as a precautionary measure before taking them to the hospital. They were in stable condition, according to Moffett.
