2 Hospitalized after Auto Collision on Big Tujunga Canyon Road in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, CA (April 29, 2020) – Wednesday afternoon, two victims were airlifted to a nearby hospital after a car crash on Big Tujunga Canyon Road.
Los Angeles County Fire Department received crash reports around 4:30 p.m., on April 29. Dispatched officers and aircrews arrived shortly after.
According to initial reports, a car went over a roadside in the Angeles National Forest. However, events leading up to the accident remain unclear.
Further so, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department sent two helicopters to the scene and conducted a hoist rescue to retrieve two people. Air Rescue 5 airlifted one patient to a trauma center.
The surrounding area on Big Tujunga Canyon Road was closed off for a brief time during cleanup duties. However, the roadway has reopened.
