Officers Hospitalized after Boyle Heights Car Crash
BOYLE HEIGHTS, CA (December 27, 2018) – Early Thursday morning, two officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were injured in an accident near Cesar Avenue.
LAPD reported the accident occurred shortly after 5:00 AM near East Cesar Chavez Avenue and Bridge Street.
Officials stated that a police vehicle ran into a tree on the sidewalk hitting two parked cars. First responders arrived shortly after and transported them to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. They are currently in stable condition, however the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
The cause of the accident in still currently unknown, as the investigations continue.
