Michael Ramirez Muro and Miguel Ramirez Gutierrez Killed in Possible DUI Accident on I-25 and 70th Avenue

 
DENVER, CO (January 27, 2018) – A fatal wrong-way, possible DUI accident was reported by the Colorado State Patrol on Interstate 25 and 70th Avenue, Saturday evening just before 6 PM.
 
24-year-old Kimberly Ramirez Roldan was driving a black 2006 Jeep southbound on the northbound HOV lanes of the I-25, when she hit a tan Honda CRV containing for people. The CRV spun out and hit a grey Chevrolet Impala. Cesar Valenzuela was the sole occupant of the 2005 Chevy and was not injured.
 
Two occupants of the Honda were fatally injured, while the other two were injured and transported to a nearby hospital. 47-year-old Miguel Ramirez Gutierrez, and his 17-year-old son Michael Ramirez Muro were killed due to the impact of the crash.
 
Maria Muro Palacios was hospitalized with serious injuries, and 20-year-old Selma Ramirez Muro sustained minor injuries. She now plans the memorial services for her father and brother, while taking care of her injured mother.
 
According to investigators, Ramirez Roldan is believed to have entered the highway at 70th avenue. She was taken to the hospital for injuries, but has not yet been charged.
 
Ramirez Roldan possibly faces two charges of vehicular homicide and two charges of vehicular assault. Police believe that the wrong-way driver may have been under the influence during the fatal crash, but wait for toxicology reports to confirm it.
 
A GoFundMe page was set up to assist the family with funeral costs and medical expenses.
