Crash on Interstate 5 Injures Two People

Bellingham, WA (November 13, 2021) – Yesterday, two people suffered injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 5.

The traffic crash took place at about 12:35 p.m. at the end of the on-ramp to the freeway northbound from Sunset Drive.

Moreover, officers said the incident involved a 2017 Toyota Prius, a 2013 Toyota Prius, and a 2018 GMC.

They also determined that speed was the factor in this crash.

Always make it a point to check your vehicle before you leave.

Start by inspecting your vehicle’s headlights and turn signals. Be sure that both front and rear headlamps are working properly and visible enough a couple of yards away.

Also, take a reading of your tire pressure and make sure you maintain the recommended maximum. While at it, take a peek under your vehicle and ensure there are no loose objects or leaks.

Most importantly, stay focused while on the road. Remove all distractions that could cause accidents such as mobile phone use, unstrapped toddlers, etc.

Dealing With Multi-Vehicle Crash

Moreover, driving is essential for many in order to move about in their lives, however, it is one of the most dangerous activities we do every day. As often these accidents happen, many people do not know what follows in the event of a car accident.

Furthermore, according to the United States Department of Transportation, there are approximately 300,000 merging accidents every year.

So, in case of accidents like this one, it is crucial that everyone remain calm in order to properly handle the immediate aftermath of an automobile collision.

Meanwhile, here are some of the things that we can do to practice defensive driving and avoid accidents:

– Always drive at a controllable speed.

– Never assume you know the other driver’s intention.

– Also, be prepared to positively react to other drivers.

– This one, we should never neglect: yield at intersections, even if you have right of way.

– Most importantly, stay focused on the road. Remove all distractions such as mobile phones unstrapped toddlers, etc.
