Two Injured in Semi-Truck DUI Crash on North Oregon Avenue [Pasco, WA]

Pasco, WA (December 17, 2021) – On Thursday, two people suffered injuries in a semi-truck DUI crash on North Oregon Avenue.

Officers responded to the crash scene at around 4:00 a.m. at the East James Street intersection.

Officers said a white Oldsmobile Alero with three occupants was southbound on North Oregon Avenue.

Suddenly, it veered into the northbound lane into the path of a big rig pulling two trailers.

Unfortunately, the front passenger was pinned by a metal. Luckily, the Pasco Fire Department freed and transported him to a nearby regional trauma center. Officers expect him to recover.

Luckily, the third passenger and the big rig driver did not sustain any injuries from the incident.

Moreover, witnesses described the driver as dazed and confused at the scene. 

Police recovered a plethora of incriminating items at the scene of the crash including meth, a stolen handgun, blue mexi pills containing fentanyl, small baggies, and a scale. 

Also, the authorities found more meth at the hospital where the passenger was treated.

Meanwhile, the officers do not suspect the big rig driver of any wrongdoing, though they believe that the Alero driver may face Vehicular Assault charges while a DUI investigation is underway.
