Petaluma, CA (June 24, 2022) – On Thursday, two people sustained injuries in a Petaluma Transit bus crash on Marie Drive.

Officers say the bus was southbound on Marie Drive approaching East Washington Street. Suddenly, the vehicle left the roadway and hit a fence on the south side of Maria Drive.

The driver and the passenger both incurred minor injuries. The Petaluma Fire Department Paramedics treated them at the scene and later released them.

Moreover, the traffic control system controlling the signal lights for the intersection was damaged. Crews were repairing the traffic control signal but will take several days to complete the repairs.

In the meantime, crews placed temporary stop signs and lights at the intersection.
