Two Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Palm Avenue [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (October 21, 2022) – On Wednesday, two people sustained injuries following the pedestrian accident on Palm Avenue.

It was about 10:30 p.m. when the traffic incident took place in the area of Egger Highlands.

According to the authorities handling the case, the pedestrian was crossing the westbound No. 2 lane when he was hit by a 2003 black Harley Davidson traveling westbound on Palm Avenue. 

The male pedestrian in his mid-30s sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a hospital with a right ankle fracture, an open fracture to his right forearm, and a laceration by his right eye.

Similarly, the  54-year-old male rider was also rushed to the hospital for suffering abrasions, an open fracture to his right forearm, and a right fibula and fibula fracture.

Reports say the rider was ejected off his motorcycle and slid under a chain-linked fence on the center island.

Investigating officers say driving under the influence is not a considered factor.

In the meantime, officers are still investigating the pedestrian vs motorcycle collision on Egger Highlands.
