Two Injured in Monroe Street Wrong-Way Crash [Riverside, CA]

Riverside, CA (October 14, 2021) – On Thursday, two suffered injuries in Monroe Street wrong-way crash.

Responding officers said three vehicles were involved in the crash. 

When the authorities arrived at the crash scene, they found a driver trapped In his vehicle. 

Immediately, the responders used the jaws of life to pry open his door.  They cut him free from the wreckage in about 10 minutes.

Paramedics treated the driver on the scene and rushed him to a local hospital. 

Moreover, the paramedics also treated an ejected person at the scene and rushed the victim to a local area hospital. 

The authorities said that the truck driver was driving on the wrong side of Magnolia Avenue. The vehicle crashed head-on with a vehicle waiting at the light to make a left-hand turn onto Monroe Street.

There is no further details as to why the driver was on the wrong side of the roadway, and if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
