Two Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on 6th Avenue [Seattle, WA]

Seattle, WA (November 11, 2021) – On Wednesday, a two suffered injuries while police arrested a  35-year-old suspect in a hit-and-run crash on 6th Avenue.

Officers said the suspect stole a pickup-truck at 29th Avenue and Madison Street.

Reports said the suspect then struck a scooter near the intersection of 6th Avenue and Pine Street. The rescuers took the victim to a hospital with a broken leg.

Afterwards, the suspect struck two bicyclists and a parked car in the 400 block of Yesler Way. 

Unfortunately, one of the involved bicyclists sustained two broken legs and was rushed to the hospital. On the other hand, the other bicyclist only sustained minor injuries and was not hospiralized.

Meanwhile, the car owner was standing next to his car when it was struck. The impact of the crashed his car into him. He did not need medical treatment.

Moreover, the authorities spotted the suspect near Broadway and East Madison Street. Officers attempted to pull the suspect over but he sped off. Police continued the chase through Capitol Hill to Eastlake.

The Washington State Patrol eventually deployed spike strikes to the suspect’s vehicle near Northeast 47th Street and 17th Avenue Northeast.

Later on, the suspect’s vehicle stopped and the officers arrested the stolen truck’s driver.

The authorities took the suspect to Harborview Medical Center for treatment and to serve a blood warrant for investigation of DUI.

Finally, they booked the suspect into King County Jail for first-degree robbery, attempted first-degree assault, vehicular assault, hit and run, eluding DUI, and resisting arrest.
