Two Hospitalized after Car Accident in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, CA (March 28, 2019) – On Thursday afternoon, two people were injured in a head-on car collision on Winters Street.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the crash happened around 3:45 PM near North Avenue. As per reports, a pick up truck and a Sacramento Regional Transit work truck collided head-on. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash. The cause of the accident is currently unknown.
Sacramento Fire Department arrived shortly after the incident. One victim became trapped and required extrication to be removed from its vehicle. After that, two victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation. One was hospitalized in critical condition. However, their current medical condition is unknown at this time.
The fire department’s hazmat team was called to the area to help clean up liquids that spilled during the crash. The roadway has since reopened to traffic.
The identities of the victims have not been released to the public. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
