Head-On Collision Leads to Vegetation Fire near Painted Cave Road
SANTA BARBARA, CA (September 10, 2019) – Two people sustained injuries in a fiery head-on crash on Highway 154 on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 1:20 PM near San Marcos and Painted Cave Road. A gray Ford Focus collided with an unknown car, sparking a fire that spread to a nearby vegetation area.
The paramedics arrived for needed medical attention. After that, they found that two people suffered injuries in the crash. One suffered minor injuries. However, the other victim suffered serious injuries.
A full fire response team arrived in for the vegetation fire. However, an investigation is on-going.
