Wrong-Way Driver Dies, Others Injured in Loop 101 Crash
Phoenix, AZ (November 28, 2021) – On Saturday, two drivers sustained injuries in a fatal wrong-way crash on Loop 101.
The multi-vehicle crash happened in the morning at Interstate 17.
A westbound vehicle was traveling on the eastbound lanes and crashed head-on with a car.
Then, a third car collided with the second car. Officers said that the debris from that crash struck a fourth vehicle in the process.
Unfortunately, the wrong-way driver died at the crash scene.
On the other hand, the drivers in the second and third cars sustained serious but non-fatal injuries.
Meanwhile, the officers are investigating this fatal incident.

The Aftermath of Fatal Traffic Crash
Arizona’s road accident rate continues to increase, rather than decrease, despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models.
The increasing crash rate reflects that auto accidents are a major public health threat. They are a leading cause of death for individuals ages 5-64.
As a matter of fact, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), two out of three motorists will be involved in an injury accident during their life.
That is why it is important to know what to do if you or a loved one was involved in a vehicle accident.
