Two Injured in San Diego Accident
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 28, 2018) – A 26-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a vehicular accident on Tuesday, December 25.
The police stated that the woman was a passenger of a vehicle that lost control, slid sideways into the center median, and crashed into a tree.
The 27-year-old man driving the 2014 Infinity Q50 sustained serious injuries in the incident that happened at 1:55 p.m. in the 11500 block of Scripps Poway Parkway at Sunshine Peak Court, San Diego Police Department Officer Dino Delimitros said.
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department Battalion Chief David Pilkerton said that the woman was airlifted to a hospital while the man was rushed by ground ambulance to a hospital.
The woman was trapped in the vehicle for more than an hour. She was extricated at around 3:07 p.m., Pilkerton said.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to Delimitros.
The identities of the crash victims were not immediately released.
The crash is still under investigation by the SDPD.
